Meet Our Physicians
Wendy Szymczak MD
Dr. Szymczak has been practicing medicine since 1988 and joined Medical Center Pediatrics in 2015. She has always loved children and knew she wanted to become a pediatrician since the age of twelve. Named after Wendy from Peter Pan, she embraces the spirit of playfulness and the joy of not fully growing up, which has carried naturally into her work with children and families. Dr. Szymczak is a Certified Lactation Consultant and especially enjoys helping mothers with breastfeeding.
Dr. Szymczak is passionate about swimming and continues to compete in events ranging from 50 yards to 10 kilometers. She enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, paddleboarding, and kayaking. Playing with her grandchildren and spending time with family bring her great joy. She also loves games, climbing trees, and doing crafts with others. Dr. Szymczak is married to a wonderful husband and has three grown children.
