Caring for children is our specialty.

Pediatricians receive special training in the health and illnesses of infants, children, teens, and young adults. We provide preventive health care for children in good health, medical care for children with chronic conditions such as ADHD or asthma, newborn care, sick visits, vision and hearing screenings, and more.

We also provide parents with support and advice with issues such as growth and development, safety and prevention, nutrition, and emotional wellness to foster a lifetime of good health.

Well Child Exams

Well child exams (or check-ups) are a vital part of a child’s health care. These visits allow us to examine the child for overall health, growth, and development. We also discuss nutrition, sleep habits, and age-appropriate topics such as potty training, dental care, and safety issues. Regular wellness visits allow us to detect and address health problems before they become serious, or in some cases prevent them entirely!

Same-Day Sick Visits

We understand that children can become ill quickly and unexpectedly, so we reserve a portion of our daily schedule for sick children. Please call us to make a same-day appointment. At our Bingham Farms location, we offer walk-in sick visits Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 8:45 am, and weekend sick visits by appointment.

Care Management

Some chronic health conditions (such as asthma or allergies) and mental health conditions (such as ADHD, depression, and anxiety) require regular follow-ups and medication checks with your chosen pediatrician at least every 3-6 months based on a child’s individual situation. Please schedule your next visit before leaving.

Breastfeeding Support

Our physicians and lactation consultants and counselors will work with you to address any breastfeeding concerns. We are experienced and uniquely qualified to diagnose and treat mothers and their babies for a variety of nursing challenges, such as milk supply, engorgement and latching issues.

Adolescent Care

Adolescence is an important transition from childhood to adulthood. During these years, patients will be offered and encouraged to have a portion of the visit alone with their provider. We try to pay special attention to the personal needs, confidentiality and privacy of our adolescent patients. Please read this letter regarding our adolescent care policies and procedures for your preteen and teen, and contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

In-House Lab

Our lab is equipped to perform complete blood counts, lead and cholesterol levels, and urinalysis. We can also test for strep throat, mononucleosis, flu, RSV, and COVID (rapid PCR).

We have partnered with Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital, DMC, and HealthTrackRx (a premier PCR-based infectious disease laboratory with rapid results) to provide more comprehensive testing. For off-site testing, specimen collection is performed at our office, and we receive results within 24-72 hours.
